Raytheon is looking for an experienced Factory Quality Engineer to join the Effectors Operations Quality team supporting a face paced, multi value stream factory. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter capable of driving quality requirements, manufacturing objectives, continuous improvement, and achieving results in a matrixed environment.

This position supports a manufacturing effort that requires the ability to operate in a challenging and dynamic environment where successful quality execution is a key contributor to overall success.

Responsibilities

  • A 2nd shift differential of 8% will be paid for the 2nd shift schedule of 12:30pm to 10:00pm
  • Verify product and process compliance with respect to contractual, technical, industry, AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and internal policies
  • Develop strong working relationships with the touch labor, factory leadership, program leadership, and DCMA
  • Regular data analysis; development and usage of actional metrics
  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional team in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure and leading Corrective Action Boards (CAB)
  • Ensure identification, physical control, and disposition of non-conforming material and facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) when necessary
  • Support work instruction development and maintenance activities by reviewing work instructions, test instructions, auditing processes, and assuring configuration management
  • Development and maintenance of inspection instructions, ensuring inspection instructions meet the technical data package requirements and meet production needs

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
  • The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter capable of driving quality requirements, manufacturing objectives, continuous improvement, and achieving results in a matrixed environment
  • This position supports a manufacturing effort that requires the ability to operate in a challenging and dynamic environment where successful quality execution is a key contributor to overall success
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in related Quality, Operations, Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience with interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions, Bill of Materials (BOMs), consumable materials control, and manufacturing process experience in one of the following areas (assembly, inspection, test)
  • Competency and experience in a relevant technical discipline with understanding of engineering principles and design analysis techniques
